24 VDC inline brick, universal input 100240 VAC. Lastly, what genre of music are these headphones best for? I listen to mostly EDM, and a little bit of pop. High-grade CNC-milled aluminum with bead-blasted finish. 1 viivo HardGawd Joined Messages 1,695 I've been putting off getting a dedicated headphone amplifier and DAC for years since my motherboards' onboard 'headphone amps' have been good enough. I use them around the house for different purposes. Portability is not necessary because I will be listening to my 6XX at home. Welcome What Schiit stack is it, and what do you feel is missing Is your focus more on the speakers or headphones Jetman July 26, 2020, 12:36pm 3 For 30 you can buy a 4 pack of smart outlet plugs., control with your phone, turn them on and off whenever. Is it worth it for me to spend $500 on this amp or can I get the same sound quality or better from a budget amp? Also, should I get a tube amp or a solid state? Which amp would you recommend? I would like an amp/DAC that has a 1/4 inch single-ended input, a 4-pin XLR balanced input, is versatile with all headphones, and can connect to my laptop via USB.

I was thinking of pairing my 6XX with the Schiit Jotunheim amp/DAC. At that price point, I expect world-class quality. Now I've read from many sources that the 6XX or 650s are the best headphones to buy for less than $1000. However, I will admit that the M50s are more comfortable than some of the earbuds I've owned. As for comfort, that is a completely different experience between in-ear and over-ear headphones. The sound quality is great but not enough to wow me. As for the sound quality, after all the reviews I've read, I expected better. The ear pads are a little worn out but everything else is in mint condition. However, I purchased my M50s 3 1/2 years ago and they are still like new. The schiit stack would cost me 260 whereas the Massdrop combo around 200. I am using the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6xx headphones. I am now undecided between the two combos I mentioned in the title. Every pair of earbuds I've ever owned have only lasted me a few months before breaking. 91 Likes 13 Does anyone know how this pair would function these schiit amps/dacs seem very interesting and most peoples experience with schiit seem to be quite good. Hello everyone I am currently on the search for a nice seperate dac + headphone amp combo. I consider my M50s "high quality" compared to the earbuds because the sound quality is a little bit better, they are more comfortable, and the build quality is exceptionally better. Before I purchased these headphones, I used cheap earbuds ranging from $10 to $50. The M50s are my first "high quality" pair of headphones. How do the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XXs sound compared to the Audio Technica ATH-M50s? I own a pair of M50s and just recently purchased a pair of 6XX.
